5 Kid Friendly Cafes in Hornsby

Today we are sharing our top 5 kid friendly cafes In Hornsby. Finding your local, kid friendly cafe is another way for Women to find support in their communities. We have a series of these articles for spots all over Australia because knowing the places you can you where your children will be welcomed, gives you confidence and peace of mind.

In the bush-shire of Hornsby, you’ll find fantastic cafes catering to parents with prams or toddlers. These cafes are providing delicious, kid-friendly food options, and some even have a secure play area. This setup presents an ideal chance for mothers to enjoy a coffee and a much-needed chat with their Mum friends. Or maybe you just need a space for some quiet time while Bub takes a nap. If you take toddlers with you, they can engage in play while you indulge in food and conversation, sharing stories about the joys and challenges of motherhood.

Top 5 Kid Friendly Cafes in Hornsby

After visiting cafés with my little people and asking my community, these are my top 5 and a bonus.

Jamie’s Kitchen

Jamie’s Kitchen is located inside Hornsby PCYC, at the Mark Taylor Oval in Waitara. They offer an extensive menu from breakfast to dinner, with a tent in the middle for the little ones to play close to you and enclosed soft play at the back.
I personally love their bacon and egg roll. You’ll find Mother’s groups inside and outside, and if you want to say hello, you can join us for our after-session catch-up coffee 4 times per week!

Magpies

Magpies is just across from Waitara station. There are many spaces, depending on what you need.
They’ve recently opened an outdoor space called ‘The Garden’ if you need to be outside but worry-free; it’s a fenced space. Did someone say: Let’s let the toddlers free?

Monday Morning

A’hhh Monday Morning – loved by Thornleigh locals. Their vibe is great, and they have outdoor tables in their beautifully staged patio, so your little one can spot the train coming or scream “Yellow car!” if they are lucky. The brekkie wrap is a hit.

Myrtle Street Grind

If you need nature, then Myrtle Street Grind is the place! Right next to Charles Curtis Park, you can enjoy your coffee overlooking the park or outside next to it. Milkshakes and babycinos are a hit!

5-Little amigos

Located on Pennant Hills Road in Carlingford, it’s not a café per se but an indoor playground with a train inside and a café. You have direct access to your little one; there is no fence! Make sure your phone has a full battery because you won’t stop taking pictures. It’s such a pretty place.

BONUS

If you are after peace and silence because Bub has fallen asleep and you can enjoy a hot coffee and your thoughts without interruptions, George’s is THE place! Soft ambient music in the background is also great for catching up with a friend and chatting well. Right below Kokoda, the over-55s residency, this café has fresh options, wonderful coffee, and warm staff.

There are plenty of kid friendly cafe options and something for every need in the Bushland! Go and explore with your little people and connect with our beautiful community.
